Todd Meadows' Final Voyage Remembered
19 Sep
Summary
- Deckhand Todd Meadows returned to sea after a concussion.
- Meadows tragically died at 25 after falling overboard.
- His death was ruled an accidental drowning with hypothermia.

The Discovery Channel series Deadliest Catch is commemorating the life of deckhand Todd Meadows. Meadows, who was 25 at the time of his passing, had recently returned to the vessel Aleutian Lady after receiving medical clearance for a concussion sustained in January.
His return was short-lived. Meadows fell overboard approximately 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor, Alaska, on February 25. Despite immediate rescue efforts by the crew, he was recovered unresponsive and resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. His death certificate listed drowning and probable hypothermia as the cause, with the incident ruled an accident.
Introduced posthumously in July, Meadows was remembered by his captain and the network for his strong work ethic, devotion to family, and love for fishing. He was described as a new, yet quickly integral, member of the crew, whose absence is deeply felt.
