Timothée Chalamet's Zany Marty Supreme Promo Blitz Ahead of Christmas Release
16 Nov
Summary
- Timothée Chalamet shares Zoom video with marketing team for upcoming film Marty Supreme
- Chalamet proposes painting landmarks orange and raining ping-pong balls from a blimp
- Film loosely based on life of ping-pong legend Marty Reisman, set for Dec. 25 release

In the lead-up to the Christmas Day release of the film Marty Supreme, starring Timothée Chalamet, the actor has been engaging in a rather unconventional promotional campaign. On a recent Saturday morning, Chalamet took to social media to share an 18-minute Zoom video featuring what appears to be the marketing team behind the A24 film.
During the call, Chalamet enthusiastically shares his ideas for generating buzz around the movie's release. These include painting landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Eiffel Tower in the film's signature orange color, as well as launching a blimp over the Camp Flog Gnaw music festival to rain branded ping-pong balls down on the attendees.
While some of the marketing team members express concerns about the safety hazards of such stunts, Chalamet remains undeterred, stating that he's willing to take risks to ensure the film's successful debut. "If it's the difference between, you know what I mean, someone losing an arm putting out the movie, but someone gaining an arm intellectually when they see it, I'm a fan of the latter," he says.
With over a month until Christmas, it's clear that Chalamet and the Marty Supreme team have plenty more zany promotional plans in store to capture the public's attention.
