A classic "Saturday Night Live" sketch featuring Tim Robinson is experiencing a viral resurgence over a decade after its original broadcast. The sketch humorously imagines the creation of the famous NBC basketball theme song, "Roundball Rock," with Robinson playing Dave Tesh, the brother of songwriter John Tesh, who performs the vocals.
This revival comes as the NBA season commences, with "Roundball Rock" once again providing the soundtrack for games. Social media users have rediscovered and widely shared the "SNL" skit, delighting both long-time fans and new viewers.
While Robinson was primarily a writer during his "SNL" tenure, this sketch highlights his comedic talent on screen. His career has since flourished with his own HBO comedy series, "The Chair Company," which allows for more experimental humor.
