Australian actor and musician Tim Minchin has joined the voice cast of the animated feature film 'Zac Power.' Minchin will lend his voice to the project alongside Matt Lucas, Parker Little, Kylie Cantrall, and David Wenham.
The animated movie is inspired by a popular series of Australian children's books. It centers on a top teen spy whose position is threatened by a new agent. The plot involves the protagonist's careless actions leading to a villain stealing advanced technology, forcing him to confront his shortcomings and collaborate with his competitor.
Studio 100 will manage international sales for 'Zac Power' at the forthcoming European Film Market, where they will present a teaser trailer to buyers. The film is a production of Flying Bark Productions and Cheeky Little Media, in association with Pixel Zoo Animation Studios.
Directed by Alexs Stadermann and David Webster, 'Zac Power' boasts production investment from Screen Australia and the Australian Children's Television Foundation (ACTF). Post-production, digital, and visual effects have received support from Screen NSW and Screen Queensland. Paramount Pictures is slated for distribution in Australia and New Zealand.
