Tim Curry's Haunted Home Finds Buyer

Tim Curry's historic Los Feliz residence has been placed under offer shortly after news of the actor's death at age 80. Curry painstakingly restored the 1922 property, known as the Seyler House, which features Spanish-inspired architecture and period details. He purchased the home in 1993, drawn to its potential, and dedicated years to its renovation. The restoration, which included preserving original elements like exposed beams and stained-glass windows, was featured in Architectural Digest. Curry once described his approach to the home as designing a set for his desired life.

The approximately 4,000-square-foot home boasts four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, retaining Curry's warm aesthetic with dramatic interior colors. A unique feature is a secret passageway leading to a speakeasy hidden behind a vault. Situated on a 1.45-acre lot, the grounds offer extensive gardens, a freeform swimming pool, fire pits, and a koi pond, providing city views.

Curry sold the property in 2001 but continued renovating other Los Angeles residences. His former Los Feliz home has since been owned by notable figures including Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Robert Pattinson. Most recently, Aaron Paul updated the property in 2019, preserving its historic character. Curry, celebrated for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, passed away at his Los Angeles home.
