In a move to celebrate the rising stars of social media, TikTok has announced the launch of its first-ever TikTok Awards in the United States. The event, set to take place on December 18 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, will be presented under the theme "New Era, New Icons."
The TikTok Awards will bring together hundreds of creators for a live event complete with a red carpet and live performances. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite creators on the TikTok Awards in-app hub, with voting open from November 18 to December 5.
This marks the first time TikTok has hosted such an event in the U.S., though the social media company has organized similar awards programs in 21 other countries around the world, including Korea, the U.K., Brazil, Mexico, Australia, and Germany. The TikTok Awards will air live on the platform and its official streaming partner, Tubi, and will also be available on demand the following day on Tubi.
