Bangkok-based Mbrella Films has initiated production on its inaugural American feature film, the thriller "Blood on the Ice." The movie is currently being shot on location in central Illinois, leveraging the extreme Midwestern winter as a critical dramatic element.
The project, a co-production with IB Films, is directed by Justin Hayward and produced by Adam Pray. The cast is led by Kelli Garner, alongside Jake Connelly and former Chicago Bears defensive end Israel Idonije. Post-production services will be handled in Thailand under Mbrella Films' supervision.
"This film marks our first feature produced in the U.S., and we see it as a foundation for future co-productions between the U.S. and Thailand," stated Joshua Dixon, CEO of Mbrella Films. The company aims to build upon this success for further international collaborations.
