'Thamma' Crosses Rs 90 Crore in Opening Week, Ayushmann Praises Newcomer

In the last two weeks, the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer 'Thamma' has been making waves at the box office. The film, which released on October 21, has crossed the impressive milestone of Rs 90 crore in its first week of theatrical run.
'Thamma' got off to a flying start, earning Rs 24 crore on its opening day. The film then maintained steady earnings throughout the week, collecting Rs 18.6 crore on Wednesday, Rs 13 crore on Thursday, and Rs 10 crore on Friday. Over the weekend, 'Thamma' further strengthened its position, earning Rs 13.1 crore on Saturday and Rs 12.6 crore on Sunday, taking its six-day India total to Rs 91.3 crore net.
Interestingly, Ayushmann Khurrana also extended his support to Aneet Padda, who was attached to the film. Sharing Aneet's work on his Instagram story, Ayushmann praised her and wrote, "Welcome to the MHCU @aneetpadda Punjabi aa gaye oye (Punjabis are here)!! From one dreamer to another - keep chasing what you want. Nothing is impossible.. so proud to see someone from Punjab making us all proud."
With its impressive box office performance and Ayushmann's endorsement of a newcomer, 'Thamma' has certainly become one of the most talked-about films of the season.
