A gripping Tamil crime thriller, Thadayam, is set to premiere on ZEE5 on February 27, 2026. Inspired by actual events from 1999 near the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border, the series delves into a series of unsettling midnight murders plaguing rural villages.
The investigation is led by Sub-Inspector Adhiyaman, portrayed by Samuthirakani in his web series debut, alongside Sshivada as Inspector Lakshmi. The crimes share a disturbing pattern: the perpetrator exclusively takes sacred marriage symbols from the victims, leaving authorities baffled.
As fear grips the community and transforms into folklore, a newly transferred officer uncovers a potential ritualistic motive. The series promises a tense, slow-burn investigation that probes the psychological aspects of fear, belief, and obsession within a close-knit rural setting.
