The band Texas is commemorating the 30th anniversary of their seminal album, White on Blonde. This milestone is marked by a tour in 2027, including a performance at the Brighton Centre. The album achieved immense popularity, selling close to two million copies in the UK alone.
Original vinyl editions of White on Blonde are exceedingly scarce, with Sharleen Spiteri noting that only 50 to 100 copies were distributed to press and radio. She revealed the band's own efforts to acquire a copy through eBay, costing them £1,400.
To honor the album's legacy, Texas is releasing a remastered version. Spiteri encouraged fans who own original pressings to consider selling them due to their considerable market value, emphasizing the deep personal connection many listeners have with the album.
