Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar shared his heartfelt reaction to Netflix's 'Operation Safed Sagar,' a period war drama focusing on the Indian Air Force's role in the 1999 Kargil War. Tendulkar, an honorary Group Captain with the IAF since 2010, stated the series provided him with a profound understanding of the pressure, discipline, and courage inherent in the lives of air force personnel.

Reflecting on his own connection to the force, Tendulkar posted a throwback photo with former Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, whose role is depicted in the series. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by Dhanoa and others during the Kargil conflict, noting how the series deepened his appreciation for their extraordinary courage and mental fortitude.

'Operation Safed Sagar' chronicles the significant contributions of the Indian Air Force, specifically the Golden Arrows squadron led by Dhanoa during the Kargil War. Dhanoa, whose experiences informed the series, commented on the narrative's accessible adaptation for a wider audience, emphasizing that while simplified, the story's essence remains intact.
