On Sunday, a 13-year-old guest at Disneyland reportedly climbed out of a moving boat on the Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride. Witnesses claim the teen slid down a roughly 52-foot drop. Disneyland officials confirmed that a cast member stopped the ride immediately upon noticing the guest's actions.
The teen continued along a section of the attraction's course before being assisted by other cast members. The guest was subsequently transported to a local hospital for evaluation and was later released. Emergency services, including the Anaheim Fire Department, responded to the scene.
California's Division of Occupational Safety and Health inspected Tiana's Bayou Adventure on Monday morning, and the ride resumed operation later that day. This incident occurred shortly before the attraction, which replaced Splash Mountain, was inspected. Tiana's Bayou Adventure opened in California in November 2024.
