Ted Lasso Returns: Women's Team Takes Center Stage

Ted Lasso is set to return for a fourth season on Apple TV+ starting August 5, 2026, with new episodes airing weekly until October 7, 2026. The series, which originally concluded in 2023, was revived by Apple TV in March 2025.

Season 4 will pick up after AFC Richmond's second-place finish in the Premier League. Ted is back in Kansas, while Rebecca has invested in Keeley's PR firm and supported the idea of launching a women's team. This initiative will form the core of the new season's narrative.

The season's logline indicates that Ted and the team will "leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would." The show is expected to delve into social commentary on the unequal attention given to men's and women's sports, with Ted adapting his coaching methods for the new team.

Jason Sudeikis reprises his role as Ted, with other main cast members like Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Juno Temple also returning. The writing team includes Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Goldstein, and new addition Jack Burditt. This season continues the three-season arc planned for Ted's story, promising a fresh narrative chapter.

Co-creator Bill Lawrence confirmed Sudeikis's three-season arc, indicating that Season 4 is not a one-off appeasement but a continuation of a planned story. The first episode is titled "Home" and is directed by Declan Lowney. The season will feature 10 episodes, released weekly.
