Summary
- Ted Lasso co-creator and star, 51, marries longtime girlfriend in Ireland
- Couple welcomed second child in March 2024, paused wedding plans until after birth
- Jason Sudeikis officiated the intimate ceremony with fewer guests than originally planned

In a heartwarming turn of events, Ted Lasso co-creator and star, 51, has officially tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Shannon Nelson. The couple exchanged vows in a surprise ceremony held in Ireland just a few weeks ago.
The intimate wedding was a far cry from the grand affair the couple had initially envisioned. According to Hunt, they had to scale down the guest list and move the ceremony up on short notice. "We're pretty sure the dude who married us was only pretending to be a priest," Hunt joked, referring to his co-star Jason Sudeikis, who officiated the ceremony.
Despite the last-minute changes, the wedding was a beautiful affair. Hunt donned an emerald velvet tuxedo, while his bride Shannon Nelson stunned in an off-the-shoulder floral gown and a floral headband. "The bride was stunning, while the groom cleaned up reasonably well," Hunt wrote on Instagram.

The newlyweds' joy was further amplified by the presence of their young son Sean, who got to witness his parents' special day. "Best of all, our little boys got to see it," Hunt shared.
This wedding comes just months after the couple welcomed their second child, a son named Archibald, in March 2024. The pair had initially paused their wedding plans to focus on the new addition to their family. "Shannon has decided she basically doesn't want to have any wedding pictures of her while she's pregnant," Hunt had explained earlier.
Now, with their family complete, the couple can bask in the glow of their newfound marital bliss. As Hunt's aunt Ellen aptly put it, "It's so much better to have a teammate."
