Swift & Braun Nearly Collide at NBA Finals

Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun were seated just rows apart at Game 4 of the NBA Finals held at Madison Square Garden. Swift, accompanied by friends Alana and Este Haim, attended the Knicks game, while Braun was present with his girlfriend, Sydney Sweeney. The proximity between the two is notable given their past business dispute that began in 2019 when Braun acquired Swift's master recordings.

Braun's acquisition of Swift's masters led to a public feud, with Swift eventually re-recording her albums. Braun later sold the rights to Swift's masters in November 2020. In May 2025, Swift joyfully announced she had regained ownership of her original recordings, expressing immense relief and happiness.

Braun, in a recent podcast appearance, expressed resentment over his portrayal during the dispute, stating he barely knew Swift and had never had a substantial conversation with her. He asserted he wouldn't have purchased the label if he wasn't excited about working with her.

Swift's presence at the arena also fueled rumors of her impending wedding to Travis Kelce at the venue later this year.
