In a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Taylor Swift set the record straight on whether she turned down the Super Bowl halftime show. Swift explained that while she was approached by Jay-Z and Roc Nation to gauge her interest, she was never formally offered the gig.

The Grammy-winning singer made it clear that her decision not to perform at the Super Bowl had nothing to do with Travis Kelce, her fiancé who plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. In fact, Swift said Kelce "would love for me to do it," but she is too focused on his dangerous and high-pressure NFL career to take on the halftime show herself.

"I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field," Swift told Fallon. "That is violent chess. That is gladiators without swords. That is dangerous. The whole season I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field."
