Taylor Sheridan's new television series, The Madison, is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, March 14, on Paramount+. The show introduces the fictional Clyburn family, who move to the Madison River valley in Montana seeking solace after a devastating family tragedy. The highly anticipated series features a notable cast, including Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell in leading roles.
Originally, The Madison was developed as a potential spinoff from Sheridan's successful Yellowstone franchise. However, the project underwent changes, including a previous iteration titled 2024, which was intended to star Matthew McConaughey and possibly feature Yellowstone actors Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Luke Grimes. This iteration was eventually canceled.
Despite these shifts, other Yellowstone-related projects are in development, such as the Marshals series starring Cole Hauser, set to premiere on March 1, and the previously teased 6666 spinoff. Meanwhile, Sheridan has also entered into a new film and TV deal with NBCUniversal, set to commence in January 2029, following the conclusion of his current deal with Paramount in 2028. Paramount will retain rights to existing Yellowstone franchises.
