Summary
- Dakota Mortensen was granted temporary custody of son Ever.
- Paul is barred from parent time or visitation.
- Recent resurfaced video shows Paul throwing stools at Mortensen.

Dakota Mortensen has been granted temporary custody of his and Taylor Frankie Paul's two-year-old son, Ever. This decision comes as Paul, 31, is under a domestic violence investigation. Mortensen, 33, also secured a temporary protective order against Paul, preventing any visitation or parental time until a hearing scheduled for April 7. Violation of this order could lead to Paul's arrest.
The filing for the protective order by Mortensen occurred on March 19, shortly after a video emerged showing Paul throwing stools at him during an incident from 2023. Paul had previously faced legal issues in February 2023, resulting in her arrest and subsequent guilty plea to aggravated assault charges, with other domestic violence and child abuse charges being dismissed.
Following the controversy, ABC announced it would not proceed with Paul's scheduled season of The Bachelorette. A spokesperson cited a focus on supporting the family. Paul's representative stated she was prioritizing her family's safety and seeking protection from alleged abuse. Mortensen responded, denying Paul's claims and emphasizing his focus on their son's safety.
