Reid's novels explode onto screen: 7 projects in development

Taylor Jenkins Reid's popular novels are extending their reach beyond the printed page, with seven of her works currently in development for screen adaptations. Her latest novel, "The Last Days of Vic & Coco," is scheduled for release on March 2, 2027. This story, described as a "love letter to female friendship," follows two pool hustlers navigating a life of cons in the 1970s. The audiobook version will feature a notable cast, including Julia Whelan, Jennifer Beals, Edoardo Ballerini, and Danny Burstein.

Reid, celebrated for bestsellers like "Daisy Jones & The Six" and "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo," expressed immense satisfaction with the audiobook cast, calling their involvement an "extraordinary gift." The momentum continues with numerous screen projects. Anna Kendrick is directing Netflix's adaptation of "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo," while Riley Keough is set to star in another Netflix adaptation of "Carrie Soto is Back." Serena Williams is also executive producing a TV show based on one of Reid's books. Reid has shared her enthusiastic response to seeing her characters brought to life on screen, particularly praising the performances in the "Daisy Jones & The Six" series.
