Tatiana Maslany's Wild Ride in 'Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed'

Tatiana Maslany, known for her Emmy-winning role in Orphan Black, tackles a new, complex character in Apple TV+'s Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed. She portrays Paula, a recently divorced mother experiencing a significant midlife identity crisis. Her life becomes dramatically complicated by a custody battle and a shocking murder that plunges her into a dangerous conspiracy.

Maslany was drawn to the script's portrayal of Paula's disoriented state. The character, a fact-checker, had been "sleepwalking" through life until her divorce. Her attempts at finding new connections, including a digital one with a cam boy named Trevor, quickly escalate into blackmail and mortal danger.

The series delves into Paula's "outrageous decisions" as she confronts her blackmailers. Maslany finds this impulsivity a compelling aspect of the character, who despite knowing the risks, "can't help herself."
