Quentin Tarantino confirmed on "The Graham Norton Show" that he has finished writing the script for his tenth and final feature film. However, the acclaimed director intends to postpone further work on the movie until after his new play, "The Popinjay Cavalier," concludes its run.
Tarantino explained that he first wants to experience directing the play and then spend time with his family before returning to filmmaking. "The Popinjay Cavalier," initially conceived as a screenplay, has been transformed into a stage production that Tarantino anticipates will be thrilling.
Starring Sacha Baron Cohen, "The Popinjay Cavalier" is scheduled to open at London's Phoenix Theatre next March, with previews beginning in late February. This "swashbuckling comedy" will play for three months, with its final performance set for June 13. Tarantino stated his eagerness to provide the West End with an exceptional theatrical experience.
Tarantino's most recent film, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," was released in 2019. The movie garnered significant critical acclaim and awards, including Oscars for Brad Pitt, Barbara Ling, and Nancy Haigh.
