Prolific voice actress Tara Strong has intervened in the ongoing Bricks & Minifigs controversy with a striking viral video. In the 90-second clip, Strong adopted the voices of 10 iconic characters, including Miss Minutes and Harley Quinn, to plead for the return of "Star Wars" Lego sets. These valuable collections are reportedly worth up to $200,000.
The dispute originated at the Keizer Bricks & Minifigs location when ownership changed during a consignment agreement. The company claims to have offered a resolution to the original owner's son, Bryan Mansell, involving a review of financial data and the return of any remaining Lego sets. However, the situation escalated significantly.
Yourther Benjamin Schneider, known as Reckless Ben, posted videos about the debacle, which garnered millions of views and led to his arrest. He faces stalking charges and is part of a civil lawsuit alleging defamation. Schneider is currently restricted from posting new content about the controversy due to a restraining order.
The Keizer store has since closed permanently, with the company citing a "devastating social media campaign." A GoFundMe initiated by Schneider to compensate the original owners has raised nearly $500,000.
