Music composer Tanishk Bagchi recently highlighted a significant discrepancy between his creative investment and the royalty earnings from the title track of 'Saiyaara.' He expressed his disappointment on social media, stating that the Rs 8 lakh in royalties received did not reflect the song's massive popularity across digital platforms, especially considering his deep involvement in every aspect of its creation.

Bagchi detailed his extensive commitment, from production to sound tuning, treating the song as his own. He claimed that the nominal advance payment was entirely consumed by production costs, leaving him with minimal earnings from the song's success. This experience has led him to re-evaluate his future collaborations, prioritizing producers who value creativity and fairness.

In response, Yash Raj Films issued a statement confirming that 'Saiyaara' was a collaborative effort involving Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, and Arslan Nizami. The studio emphasized that royalties are being shared equally among the three composers as contractually agreed. YRF maintained that all payments were made on time and in accordance with the agreed-upon terms, assuring that collaborators were duly compensated.
