Jodie Carnall, a contestant who appeared twice on ITV's dating show Take Me Out, has shared details about her experience, including a memorable date with Roman Kemp on the celebrity version.

Carnall found Kemp to be 'lovely' and 'reassuring,' appreciating that he connected with her personality. She expressed a desire to have dated him again and admitted to keeping in touch briefly after their experience.

Reflecting on her second appearance, Carnall felt more confident, attributing it partly to cosmetic enhancements and Kemp's reassuring nature. She believes the show is "needed now more than ever" in 2026, citing the difficulty of forming relationships in the current generation.

Another former contestant, John Harris, recalled his own participation, noting that many participants were not genuinely seeking love. He detailed the less glamorous realities of filming, including the use of sanitary pads for sweat control and forgetting his date's name after a night of partying before their scheduled activity.

Harris also mentioned that while flights and some expenses were covered by ITV, the on-screen dining was primarily for show, and he did not actually consume the food during his date. He acknowledged that his intentions were for fun, not serious romance.
