The 62nd Golden Horse Awards, considered the most prestigious awards for films made in Chinese language, has announced its nominees. Taiwanese drama "A Foggy Tale" is leading the pack with 11 nominations, including for best narrative feature, director, and acting honors.
Closely following with 9 nominations is "Left-Handed Girl," while two other films, "Mother Bhumi" and "Family Matters," each received 8 nods. The best narrative feature race features these four films, along with "Queerpanorama."
In other news, Jason Hiro Kim, the producing partner of "Big Bang Theory" star Kunal Nayyar, has launched a new independent production company called Hiro's Omakase. Additionally, Logan Kovarick has been promoted to VP at Good Karma.
The Golden Horse Awards received a total of 593 submissions this year, comprising films across various categories like narrative features, animation, documentaries, and short films.
