Taimur Ali Khan Rejects Bollywood for Sports and Cooking

As of October 11th, 2025, it appears that Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's elder son, Taimur, has shown little interest in pursuing a career in Bollywood, despite coming from a family of superstars. In a recent podcast with Soha Ali Khan, Kareena opened up about Taimur's preferences, revealing that he has consistently turned down opportunities to explore acting.

Kareena shared that whenever she would present Taimur with a list of extracurricular activities at school, including drama, he would firmly decline, stating that he does not enjoy it. She tried to encourage him to at least give it a try, but Taimur remained adamant in his disinterest. Instead, the young boy has shown a strong fascination with sports and other activities, such as cooking, which he shares with his father.

Taimur has even expressed a desire to connect with famous athletes like Virat Kohli and Lionel Messi, asking his mother if she can help him get in touch with them. However, Kareena has had to explain that she does not have personal contacts with these sports stars, and Taimur cannot simply message them.

As Kareena and Saif, who married in 2012, continue to protect their children's privacy, it seems that Taimur's interests clearly lie outside the realm of acting, despite his family's Bollywood legacy. The couple welcomed Taimur in December 2016 and their younger son, Jehangir, in February 2021, and both children have captured the public's attention with their appearances. However, it is evident that Taimur's passions are firmly rooted in sports and other pursuits, rather than following in his parents' footsteps in the entertainment industry.
