Nikhil Paralikar, a musician based in Hyderabad, embarked on a remarkable career path by choosing to play the tabla over engineering, a decision recently lauded by industrialist Anand Mahindra. He established himself online as 'The Tabla Guy,' creatively merging tabla rhythms with electronic dance music, techno, and popular hits. A notable performance included a tabla rendition of 'Bella Ciao,' introducing Indian percussion to diverse audiences beyond classical music circles.
Paralikar has since performed over 2,500 times, with audiences exceeding 15,000.
