However, SZA says she had no connection to the situation, stating, "I don't know her. We have no connection to each other. There's no backstory." She called the entire incident "a little strange" and didn't feel it was her place to correct a narrative she had nothing to do with.

The 25-year-old singer also found herself in the crossfire of the ongoing feud between her frequent collaborator Kendrick Lamar and Drake. While SZA is signed to Lamar's label, Top Dawg Entertainment, and considers him family, she's also been friends with Drake for years. She described the situation as "unfortunate" but said she didn't want to insert herself into the drama between the "two grown-ass men."
