The first annual Sycho Sid Memorial Benefit took place on August 29, 2026, at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, Tennessee. This event was created to honor the memory of the late professional wrestling star Sid Eudy, widely known as Sycho Sid, who passed away in August 2024.
The memorial featured a spectacular battle royal that included over 150 wrestlers from different eras and promotions, drawing significant attention to the cause. Notable participants included Carlito, Jonathan Gresham, Doug Gilbert, and Tommy Rich.
Beyond the wrestling action, the event served as a crucial fundraiser for animal welfare. A significant portion of the proceeds were designated to support local animal shelters and sanctuaries. WWE star Jordynne Grace also contributed, pledging all earnings from her meet-and-greet to FurGiven Animal Sanctuary, a Memphis-area no-kill rescue organization.
This charity focus was deeply connected to Sid Eudy's reported passion for animals. His family, originating from West Memphis, Arkansas, stated his love for dogs and cats, making the animal-rescue aspect a personal tribute to the celebrated wrestler.
