The 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival has officially begun, running from March 12 to March 18. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the overall event and the 33rd edition of the Film & TV Festival, promising a vibrant mix of programming celebrating the tech, film, and music industries.
Opening the festival was the World Premiere of NEON's 'I Love Boosters,' directed by Boots Riley and featuring an ensemble cast including Keke Palmer and LaKeith Stanfield. Apple TV+'s 'Margo's Got Money Troubles,' a comedic family drama executive produced by David E. Kelley, led the television premieres.
Throughout the festival, attendees can anticipate premieres in both the Narrative and Documentary Feature Competitions. Alongside film screenings, SXSW offers a comprehensive schedule of events, including keynotes, music showcases, comedy performances, and networking opportunities. Award winners for the Narrative Feature Competition, Documentary Feature Competition, and Short Films will be announced on Wednesday, March 18.
