The festival has unveiled its second wave of programming, expanding the already impressive lineup. Joining previously announced headliners are Vicky Jewson's ballet thriller 'Pretty Lethal,' music documentaries 'Jack Johnson: SURFILMUSIC' and 'Lainey Wilson: Keepin' Country Cool,' and the highly anticipated third season of Lisa Kudrow's HBO comedy 'The Comeback.'
Claudette Godfrey, SXSW VP Film & TV, expressed excitement over the "extraordinary range of voices and visions," highlighting bold new filmmakers, studio premieres, gripping series, documentaries, and international cinema. Godfrey emphasized that the selected projects "push boundaries, take risks, and demand to be seen live and in person."
The lineup spans various sections, including Headliner, Narrative Spotlight, Documentary Spotlight, and Midnight. The Visionaries section features audacious, risk-taking artists, while 24 Beats Per Second showcases films celebrating music and musicians. The Global section, presented by MUBI, offers artful international films.
