Guest Star Wishlist for SWAT Spin-off
24 Oct
Summary
- Spin-off features returning legacy characters from CBS' SWAT.
- Showrunner aimed for a distinct identity, not a season nine feel.
- Fans anticipate more familiar faces beyond initial guest stars.
The first season of "S.W.A.T. Exiles" on Starz is underway, featuring guest appearances by characters from the original CBS "S.W.A.T." series. So far, Commander Hicks and Deacon Kay have appeared, and David Lim will reprise his role as Victor Tan in an upcoming episode. Showrunner Jason Ning emphasized the importance of giving the spin-off its own distinct identity, rather than making it feel like a continuation of the original show. Despite this, the article suggests that more familiar faces from "S.W.A.T." would be welcomed by fans. The current season has only featured a few legacy characters, leaving room for speculation and desire for additional appearances, from Hondo's ex-wife to other popular characters.
