SVU Recasts Role After Actor's Arrest

The police procedural "Law & Order: SVU" has recast a guest role following serious allegations against the original actor. Zayas, who previously appeared in a 2002 episode, has now filmed his scenes for an episode titled "Corrosive." This episode, initially scheduled for January 15, was postponed and is now set to air on February 6.
The original actor was arrested on January 10 and faces charges including criminal sexual contact of a minor and child abuse. He has maintained his innocence, stating the allegations are false and that he will fight the charges. His wife, Melissa Gilbert, has publicly supported him.
In addition to the SVU role, Amazon MGM Studios plans to digitally remove the actor from the upcoming romantic comedy "You Deserve Each Other." The actor's character will no longer appear in the film.
