Suriya's Karuppu Hits ₹200 Crore Worldwide!

Suriya's latest film, Karuppu, has achieved a historic box office success, marking the first Tamil movie of 2026 to surpass ₹200 crore in worldwide earnings. This fantasy action drama, directed by RJ Balaji, has garnered excellent word-of-mouth, contributing to its remarkable run.

In just eight days, Karuppu has amassed ₹203.54 crore gross globally, with ₹143.54 crore from domestic circuits. The film's domestic net collection stands at ₹121.65 crore. Made with a budget of ₹130 crore, it has impressively recovered 93.57% of its investment within the same timeframe. This achievement signifies a triumphant return for Suriya, ending a period of box office setbacks and reaffirming his star power.

Despite facing competition from films like Drishyam 3, Karuppu has demonstrated significant box office resilience. On its eighth day, the film earned ₹7.80 crore net, maintaining strong momentum with a minimal drop of 3.7% on a regular working Friday. This performance is set to earn Karuppu the official success tag, adding another feather to Suriya's cap.
