Suriya's highly anticipated action drama, 'Karuppu,' directed by RJ Balaji, has successfully passed the censor board and received a U/A certificate. The film is slated for a grand worldwide theatrical release on May 14, with promotional materials already capturing significant audience interest.
The movie is particularly noteworthy for reuniting Suriya with actress Trisha, who stars as the female lead, a pairing that has generated considerable excitement among fans.
Early insights suggest Suriya embodies an advocate named Saravanan, who turns to divine intervention when legal avenues prove insufficient. The narrative also incorporates the village deity Karuppasamy, weaving in themes of spirituality and emotional depth alongside action.
The ensemble cast includes Yogi Babu, Indrans, Swasika, Sshivada, Natty Subramaniam, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi. Music is by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by GK Vishnu, editing by Kalaivanan, and stunts by Vikram Mor.
Beyond 'Karuppu,' Suriya has a packed schedule, with upcoming projects including 'Vishwanath and Sons' and another film with Jithu Madhavan.
