Director Jithu Madhavan has clarified that his upcoming project with actor Suriya, tentatively titled Suriya 47, is a full-fledged Tamil film. He will be seen leading a team of similarly unconventional characters. The narrative is set to introduce a serious case that challenges the group, promising a blend of humor and action. Nazriya Nazim has been cast as the female lead, with Naslen in a significant supporting role. Sushin Shyam will compose the music for Suriya 47, marking his debut in Tamil cinema.
Meanwhile, Suriya has multiple projects in the pipeline. He is also working on Karuppu, a fantasy action drama directed by RJ Balaji, scheduled for an April 2026 release, where he plays a lawyer possessed by a deity.
