Suri Cruise Tackles Shakespeare On Stage

Suri Cruise, daughter of actress Katie Holmes, is taking on a leading role in a contemporary production titled Midsummer!, a reimagining of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. The 20-year-old will perform the 90-minute play alongside her Carnegie Mellon University classmates.

The production is set to debut at the Trust Arts Education Center's Peirce Studio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with shows scheduled for July 31 and August 1. Following its American debut, the cast will travel to Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with performances running from August 7 to August 31.

Suri is reportedly pursuing a degree in musical theater at Carnegie Mellon, a shift from earlier indications she might focus on fashion. Her acting experience includes a staged reading titled Cosmic Microwave Background and a vocal performance in her mother's 2022 film, Alone Together. Katie Holmes has previously praised Suri's talent and expressed pride in her daughter's artistic endeavors.
