My Adventures With Superman Season 3: Reign of the Supermen!

The animated series My Adventures With Superman is set to return for its third season on Saturday, June 13, premiering on Adult Swim's Toonami block at midnight ET/PT, followed by a streaming release on HBO Max the next day. The upcoming season will draw inspiration from the "Reign of the Supermen" comic arc.

Showrunner Jake Wyatt confirmed that the season will immediately feature Cyborg Superman, a character established at the end of season 2. The "Reign of the Supermen" storyline, originally published in 1993, follows the events of "The Death of Superman" and introduces several new figures who claim the Superman title, including the Eradicator, Superboy, and Steel.

The new season will explore the personal lives of Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Supergirl as they adjust to life after the Brainiac saga. Clark aims to settle down with Lois, while Kara seeks an Earth mate and sets her sights on Jimmy. The arrival of other Supermen will coincide with this period of change and self-discovery.

Lex Luthor is also slated to play a significant role, embodying the season's themes of fear versus hope. Additionally, a brief cameo from Jessica Cruz is planned, hinting at her future starring role in a separate Green Lantern animated series currently in development. Wyatt expressed gratitude for fan patience and encouraged viewership to support potential future seasons.

Wyatt also mentioned that season 4 is not yet renewed, but pitches for seasons 3 and 4 were made to DC Studios. The show's visual style is heavily influenced by anime, particularly Dragon Ball Z, with the upcoming Green Lantern series drawing inspiration from a different aspect of the Toonami block.
