Netflix has confirmed that production is currently underway for the second season of its popular British superhero series, "Supacell." However, the development comes as a cloud hangs over the show due to the significant legal troubles of one of its stars, rapper Ghetts.
Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Clarke-Samuel, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. This severe penalty follows his guilty plea to charges related to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred last year. He was found to have consumed alcohol before driving and was traveling at 60 mph when he struck and killed a 20-year-old student.
The rapper portrayed the brutal villain Craig, also known as "Krazy," in "Supacell." His character's storyline concluded with an ambiguous fate at the end of the first season, leaving questions about his potential involvement in future episodes. The first season garnered considerable attention, with over 33 million hours of viewership within its initial three days of release in June 2024.
