Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Receives Censor Approval Ahead of Release

As of September 30, 2025, the upcoming romantic comedy 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' has received a U/A 13+ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, features a star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf.

The censor board required a few minor edits before clearing the film for release. The first change involved muting the word 'guard' used in a scene where Varun Dhawan's character attempts to disguise a slur. The second edit reduced the kissing scenes by approximately 60 percent. Additionally, the producers were asked to include an anti-alcohol disclaimer.

Following these changes, the film received its final clearance, with a runtime of 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 45 seconds. Backed by Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment, 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' is set to hit theatres on October 2, 2025, clashing with Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara Chapter 1'.

Advance bookings for the film have started steadily, with reports indicating that by September 30, approximately 9,200 tickets had been sold across major national chains. Trade experts predict the number could reach 50,000 before the release day, with opening collections estimated between Rs 10.50-12.50 crore. The film's success will largely depend on the audience's response over the upcoming holiday weekend.
