Cinematographer Sunny Joseph has been appointed as the director of the KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts. The position had been vacant for several months, during which the institute faced challenges.
Higher education minister R Bindu expressed confidence that Joseph's leadership will enable the institute to reach new heights. She highlighted his four decades of experience in cinematography and his significant contributions to approximately 65 films.
Minister Bindu further stated that Joseph's expertise in directing and other visual arts aspects will significantly benefit Kerala's K R Narayanan-named film study institute, aligning it with global standards.
