Deol Returns with Emotional 'Gabru' on May 8, 2026

Sunny Deol is gearing up for his next cinematic venture, titled Gabru, set to release on May 8, 2026. This announcement follows the considerable success of his recent film, Border 2. The upcoming project is directed by Shashank Udapurkar and produced by Vishal Rana and Om Chhangani.

Gabru is poised to feature Sunny Deol in an intense and emotionally resonant role, delving into themes of courage, identity, and resilience. Deol expressed that the story personally connects with him, reflecting elements central to his career. The film aims to present a powerful narrative celebrating strength and spirit.

While Gabru is expected to retain the powerful energy fans associate with Deol, it reportedly leans more towards emotional storytelling rather than large-scale action. The makers believe its strong, simple narrative will resonate deeply with audiences. The film also stars Simran and Prit Kamani, with music by Mithoon. PVR INOX Pictures will handle the nationwide distribution.
