Sullivan's Crossing Loses Key Players, New Showrunner

Sullivan's Crossing is set for a leadership overhaul as its creator, Roma Roth, has stepped down from her roles as head writer and showrunner. Floyd Kane is slated to take over the day-to-day operations of the series for its upcoming fifth season. Roth will continue her involvement as an executive producer.

This transition occurs amidst notable cast departures. Scott Patterson, who played Harry "Sully" Sullivan, will not be returning due to creative differences, stating they had become untenable. Amalia Williamson, also facing an uncertain future on the show, cited scheduling conflicts with another project as a factor in her potential return.

The hit series has been renewed by CTV and is awaiting official pickup by The CW. Filming for the new season is scheduled to commence later this summer in Nova Scotia. The show, based on Robyn Carr's book series, follows neurosurgeon Maggie as she returns to her rural Nova Scotia hometown.
