Sublime has officially inked a partnership deal with Atlantic Records, signaling a significant new phase for the iconic band. Their first full-length album featuring Jakob Nowell is anticipated to be released later this year, uniting him with founding members, bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh.
The band is also commemorating the 30th anniversary of their seminal 1996 self-titled album. This celebration will include two performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on April 17-18, initiating a year-long tribute to the album. Further festivities are planned, including the band's own touring music festival, Sublime Me Gusta, set to debut on May 9.
This new venture with Atlantic Records follows a series of independent releases. Notably, the deal allows Sublime to retain ownership of its master recordings while leveraging Atlantic's extensive reach. The band members expressed considerable excitement about the partnership, highlighting their respect for Atlantic's legacy and anticipation for their upcoming material.
