On November 4, 2025, the winners of the prestigious Nature's Best Photography (NBP) Awards were announced, celebrating the creativity and dedication of photographers from 62 countries. This year, the competition received over 20,000 breathtaking submissions, a testament to the growing interest in nature and wildlife photography.
After a rigorous selection process, nearly 500 images advanced to the semi-final round, with the top 100 finalists ultimately chosen by an esteemed panel of judges. The Grand Prize Winner is Thomas Vijayan of Ontario, Canada, while the Youth Photographer of the Year is Lisiqi Ye of Beijing, China, who captured a stunning image of a great hornbill in flight at just 17 years old.
The winning photographs showcase a diverse range of subjects, from the majestic beauty of emperor penguins in Antarctica to the devastating impact of human waste on Sri Lankan elephants. Other highlights include a ghostly goby blending seamlessly into its coral environment, a backlit Ezo sika deer in Japan, and a dramatic confrontation between two musk oxen in the Arctic.
