Metalheads Fooled: Heavy Metal Concert Becomes Nativity Play
24 Dec
Summary
- StubHub mistakenly listed Lamb of God instead of a Christmas concert.
- Fans expecting metal music received a performance about Jesus Christ.
- StubHub apologized and offered full refunds for the ticketing error.

Concertgoers in South Carolina experienced a significant mix-up when a heavy metal show turned into a religious performance. Attendees expecting the band Lamb of God were surprised to find a concert celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
The error originated with ticket reseller StubHub, which mistakenly listed Lamb of God for a December 20th event at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. This listing, which included an image of Lamb of God's frontman, caused considerable confusion among fans who purchased tickets under this false impression.
StubHub has since issued an apology for the misleading listing and has offered full refunds to all ticket purchasers through its FanProtect Guarantee. The band Lamb of God also acknowledged the amusing mistake, with frontman Randy Blythe jokingly commenting on the situation.
