Strictly Star Alex Kingston's Unconventional Italian Wedding Revealed

As of November 2025, Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Kingston has been married to writer Jonathan Stamp for the past 10 years. The couple tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony held at the All Saints Anglican Church in Rome back in 2015.

What made their wedding particularly memorable was the bride's choice of attire - instead of the traditional white dress, Kingston opted for a magnificent olive green gown with a voluminous, ruffled skirt. Photographs show the actress walking through the streets of Rome with a white bouquet in hand and beautiful pink roses woven into her hair.

Prior to her current marriage, Kingston had been involved in two previous high-profile relationships. Her first was a 14-year marriage to actor Ralph Fiennes, which ended in divorce in 1997 after Fiennes had an affair. She then married German writer Florian Haertel in 1999, but they divorced in 2013, two years before she met and married Stamp.

Kingston's participation in this year's Strictly Come Dancing has brought her a new wave of fame. She was encouraged to join the show by her close friend, actress Sarah Hadland, who warned her that it would be an incredibly challenging experience, but one that could also be life-changing. Despite the difficulties, Kingston has embraced the opportunity and is currently competing on the show with professional dancer Johannes Radebe.
