Jamie Campbell Bower, the actor portraying Vecna, has shared insights into the villain's significant power upgrade and striking new appearance for the latest Stranger Things season. Bower detailed his intention to make Vecna look as formidable as possible, drawing inspiration from wrestling and moments of intense release, even in the face of direct attacks like flamethrowers.

Bower elaborated on specific scenes, including a casual yet menacing interaction with Joyce Byers and the terrifying resurrection of Demogorgons, likening the latter's physicality to something he'd attempted in a previous season. He humorously recounted a failed attempt to incorporate a reference from Hellraiser 3, which did not go as planned during filming.

Discussing Vecna's motivations, Bower clarified the villain's perspective, stating that while Vecna considered Eleven an equal, he views Will Byers as merely a 'toy' or a 'plaything.'
