Kate Bush & Metallica Fuel Stranger Things Boom

The soundtrack for the upcoming "Stranger Things" Season 5 is now available, featuring iconic artists and continuing the series' tradition of impactful music choices. The show has demonstrated a remarkable ability to drive music consumption, with past seasons seeing astronomical increases in streams for featured songs like Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" and Metallica's "Master of Puppets." This latest installment promises to deliver more memorable musical moments that resonate with fans.

Fans can now experience the latest soundtrack digitally, with release dates staggered through late November and December, culminating in a comprehensive release on January 1st. For those who prefer physical media, a complete "Stranger Things: Soundtrack" for Season 5 will be released on January 30th. This includes CD, vinyl, and even a nostalgic red-colored cassette option, with various exclusive vinyl variants available at different retailers.

Music supervisor Nora Felder highlighted the continued significance of songs like "Running Up That Hill," explaining its role in maintaining character connections and providing a source of support. The Duffer brothers, creators of "Stranger Things," alongside Rob Santos, produced the compilation album. The series' distinctive score was once again composed by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of S U R V I V E.
