Stranger Things Season 5 Dominates Music Charts
19 Dec, 2025
Summary
- Kate Bush's 'Running Up That Hill' tops TV Songs chart again.
- Stranger Things season 5 premiere boosted multiple songs.
- Show now features seven of the Top TV Songs chart's top 10.

Kate Bush's iconic 1985 track, "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)," has once again surged to the top of Billboard's Top TV Songs chart. This resurgence is directly linked to the November 26, 2025, release of the first four episodes of the final season of Stranger Things. The song, previously a chart-topper in 2022 due to its feature in season four, garnered 14.2 million official U.S. streams and 3,000 downloads in November 2025.
The impact of Stranger Things' fifth season on the music charts is substantial. The show now claims seven of the top 10 positions on the Top TV Songs chart. Notably, Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now," a 1987 hit, reappears at No. 2, driven by its inclusion in the series. Other non-Stranger Things entries include "Bad Company" by Five Finger Death Punch and songs from "Heated Rivalry" and "Landman."
Further music from Stranger Things is expected to dominate the charts in December 2025, with three more episodes scheduled to air on December 25 and the series finale on December 31. The renewed popularity of "Running Up That Hill" also saw it re-enter the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, peaking at No. 8.
